Do đó, NIOSH (Viện Quốc gia về An toàn và Sức khỏe Nghề nghiệp) đã khuyến nghị từ năm 1974 rằng cát silic (hoặc các chất khác chứa hơn 1% silica tinh thể) bị cấm sử dụng làm vật liệu phun trong phun cát tại nhiều quốc gia trên thế giới.
Vậy nên sử dụng loại cát thay thế nào để phun cát bia mộ?
Phun cát bia mộ đòi hỏi hạt mài có dạng đa cạnh để phun khắc dễ dàng, tạo độ khắc đồng đều và độ tinh xảo giúp tăng thẩm mỹ chi tiết. Các chuyên gia kỹ thuật Growell khuyên bạn nên sử dụng hạt oxit nhôm nâu để tối ưu hóa hiệu quả phun khắc bia mộ.
